The big idea
Your referrals stay connected to you.
Once a customer's account is attributed to you, another creator link does not take that customer away. Their account keeps its original creator attribution, even if they return to Lemmy Go later.
A guest can also arrive through your creator link before creating an account. If they create or sign into an account while that referral is still valid, the creator relationship can become permanently attached to their account.
Qualifying calls
When can a call earn commission?
A call can earn creator commission when all of the program requirements are met.
- The customer is attributed to your creator account.
- The call is a completed qualifying paid call.
- The call was paid directly or funded with a call credit.
- You are activity-eligible when the call is completed.
- Your Creator Program account is in good standing.
Activity eligibility
New qualifying referral activity starts a 90-day window.
Qualifying referral activity occurs when an attributed customer completes a qualifying paid call to a phone number that has not previously produced a qualifying Lemmy Go call. That activity starts or renews your eligibility for 90 days.
Attributed customer
A customer is already attributed to you.
New qualifying phone
A qualifying paid call reaches a phone number not previously used for one.
90 days
Your activity eligibility starts or renews.
Examples
What does that look like in practice?
Example 1
Maya is a new customer
Maya follows your creator link, becomes attributed to you, and completes her first qualifying paid call.
Maya's call can earn commission and starts a new 90-day activity period for you.
Example 2
Jordan comes back
Jordan is already one of your referred customers and has used Lemmy Go before. Jordan completes another qualifying paid call to the same phone number.
That call can earn commission while you're eligible, but it does not restart your 90-day activity period.
Example 3
Your 90 days have ended
Your existing customers are still attributed to you, but calls completed while you're not activity-eligible do not earn commission.
New qualifying referral activity can begin your eligibility again. That can come from a newly referred customer or from a different qualifying phone number used by an existing referred customer. Earlier ineligible calls do not become payable retroactively.
Example 4
Your customer becomes a creator
A customer you originally referred later joins the Lemmy Go Creator Program.
Their original attribution remains part of the historical record, but calls they complete after becoming a creator no longer generate commission for you and do not renew your activity eligibility. Calls completed before they became a creator are unaffected.
An important distinction
Attribution doesn't expire. Activity eligibility can.
If your activity window ends, your referred customers do not suddenly belong to someone else. They remain attributed to you. The difference is that calls completed while you're activity-ineligible do not earn commission.
New qualifying referral activity can reactivate you. This occurs when an attributed customer completes a qualifying paid call to a phone number that has not previously produced a qualifying Lemmy Go call.
Account status
Activity and good standing are separate.
Meeting the 90-day activity requirement does not override your Creator Program account status. Your creator account must also remain active and in good standing. Suspended or otherwise ineligible creator accounts cannot earn commission during that period.
Statements
Keeping track of your activity
Creator activity is calculated from qualifying completed calls. Monthly statements can show which calls earned commission and which calls occurred while you were not eligible.

Can another creator take one of my referrals?
Not after that customer's account has been attributed to you. Later creator links do not reassign the account to another creator.
Do repeat customers still earn commission?
They can. Qualifying calls from your existing referred customers can earn commission while you're eligible. A repeat call to a phone number already used for a qualifying call does not restart your 90-day activity window, but a different qualifying phone number can.
What happens when my 90 days end?
Your referrals remain attributed to you, but calls completed while you're activity-ineligible do not earn commission. New qualifying referral activity can reactivate you.
Do I get paid later for calls made while I was ineligible?
No. Reactivation applies to qualifying calls going forward. Commission is not applied retroactively to calls completed while you were ineligible.
What if one of my customers becomes a creator?
Their original attribution remains in the historical record, but calls they complete after joining the Creator Program no longer generate commission for their original referrer.
